Norinco NS522 Magazine housing question

Hi guys. Has any one run into what is a 2 piece mag housing ? This is what seems to be a more recent production piece .In the 2 million range.My other one is in 8hundred thou . range and assembles normally to the receiver.
The lower and upper part of the housing assemble together with one screw.
It's throwing me for a loop.Only one threaded hole in the receiver.Hoping someone can help.

More info--and pictures--are needed. Total production on the NS522 is not more than 2500 rifles, and probably considerably less than that (2000 or thereabouts is the commonly accepted figure).
