Just got my Norinco nz85 b and was wondering
If any of you guys had any experience doing this and
Provide me with some guidance before I get going .

The rear sight on mine is dovetailed and wider on the right side than left.
I would tap with a brass punch from left to right.

The front sight seems to be the opposite. The pin seems wider on the left than the right side.
I would use a small punch and tap it from right to left.

Hopefully someone will come by who has done it before.

No direct experience with your pistol, but some experience with the nonstandard dovetails that Norinco sometimes uses. I assume you are going to replace the stock sights with something aftermarket. If you haven't already, check that your slide dovetails are of a standard size, otherwise there is no point in removing them. Then, as bscout noted, most dovetail sights go in from right to left. Confirm this by measuring your dovetail slots with a caliper (wider on the entry side).

A brass punch will be ideal for removing them in the end, but you can use a steel punch if you don't mind marring the finish. I've also removed and installed a few sets of dovetailed sights using scrap wood.

I did this a couple weeks ago. The rear sight slides out towards the ejection port but is a little smaller than standard CZ sights so CZ rear sights don't fit on mine. The front however did fit with a little bit of creativity. Assuming you were wanting to change out the sights.

Cool. Could the standard CZ rear sights be made to fit?

Just a final note I did remove the factory
NZ 85 B yup they are tapered dove tail
Filed down the new sight dovetail and it slid right in
