Are these things totally dried up now? I can't find a single store with them, and I can't even find a single person selling one to compare pricing.

I was thinking of selling or trading mine locally, what would everyone consider a fair trade value for the pistol? If in A+ condition?

Marstar was selling them....I bought my np-40 from them.....but I Havnt checked for a week or two..

Thought I read somewhere that they were no longer being made.

For selling or trading - look them up on Marstar and knock off a fair percentage?

But my thought process would dictate that a firearm that's no longer available in North America, possibly not at all if it's no longer made, should be worth MORE not LESS.

Marstar has it for $350, plus your tax of course. I would think that an NZ85b in 10/10 brand new condition with less than 100 rounds through it would be worth $400+ minimum. But I wanted to see what the market is allowing right now, but literally no one is selling them. Probably because they're a damn-great CZ clone.

I used to own one, and it was very accurate, but the bottom line (and I like Norinco) is it's still just a Norinco even if it's hard to find. You can put it up for whatever price you think it will fetch, but the market will dictate what it's worth. $400 minimum is dreaming.

There are other cheap CZ clones on the market as well - Tri Star / Canik being one.

I don't know if the words 'valuable' and 'norinco' can be used together. They sell because they are the cheapest handguns in the country. Nothing wrong with that, but they are what they are.

I had one for sale, approx. 500 rounds (I bought new), with 4 mags, Hogue wrap around grips and molded leather holster, with not a mark on it, was gonna sell for 400..... but haven't "really" decided if I want to part with it yet (this is in .40)

I like my nz85b too but their is absolutely nothing about it that makes in a collectable that should increase in value. It is still a poorly finished firearm with sharp edges and terrible grips, poor sights, heavy trigger, terrible mags. I had to smooth and polish my norc and refinish it and change every spring to cz and put on hogue wrap arounds to make it enjoyable. Now I have an accurate pistol with a very good trigger and piss poor sights. And after all that I still would feel guilty if I asked for $300 for it on the EE. Nobody is lining up to buy a used Norinco when used Cz75b's go for $550-600.

It's so interesting...I've had quite a few norcs over the years....never had a dud...I agree some finishing could be better, but they have been solid reliable pistols...the np-22 and np-58 were damm good( still got the .40) the np-40 is surprisingly well put together..I'm keeping it..although honestly, I will do a little finishing, the slide release is blo%#y sharp..chromed full length guide rod and barrel should last....so we will see..
