Norinco Olympia .22LR... any reviews?

I have an M93 and an Olympia and they both are quite accurate. You can't lose with the price of these. I always warm up with one or the other when on a range day, before I move up to larger calibers.

Other than the government(?) of it's country of origin - there's nothing wrong with it. Mine works fine - and it fits little hands.

Putting in my order tonight. I'm a sucker for a deal, and this may well be my last handgun purchase. Just have to make up mind on whether to buy just one, wait to see if I like it, and if I do buy another with more magazines, or buy two now with extra mags. I'm in Ontario so for all I know there might not be enough time before the "freeze" to order another with 6 weeks being normal for transfers, plus add in delivery time, etc.

I read somewhere that any transfers initiated before the legislation is passed will still be completed after it's passed. Anyone know if that's true?

My last AR showed up on my doorstep 6 months after the ban hammer came down. Purchased the DAY before the ban. Paid for online but no reference number issued. Obviously some pleb brought it up at the CFOs office and it bounced around some offices till a bigwig made a decision. So precidence has been set somewhere (or maybe some obscure commerce law).
I'm just some guy on the internet, so take it with a grain of salt. Maybe I got lucky

Post 17 here: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...y-transfers-have-been-assigned-to-Ontario-CFO

The CFO said that a transfer in the system with a reference number will be completed regardless of how the regulation or legislation of C-21 is dealt with by Parliament.

There is solid case law dating back to 1978 on this and the courts then made the Registrar complete the transfers and registrations begun before January 1 , 1978 when the law required all full auto be registered. This is solid law and applies here and the CFO is following that solid law.

Received mine a week ago. Haven't shot it yet, but it's a handsome little gun for the price, and feels good in my hand.

Between this and the Ruger Wrangler I'm still waiting on, I should be reasonably set for 22 target pistols. I don't shoot competitively.

Where and when did you buy it? Marstar in Ontario? If so, how long did it take to get it? I purchased my Olympia from Marstar on June 4 and no transfer confirmation yet.

honestly these look nice for Norincos, but truth be told, I'd just get a used High Standard Victor or Olympic for not a lot more money (like around $600 or so?).

I bought from Marstar June 6th, and the order completed processing June 28th. I'm in BC.

Thanks for info. It took only 22 days for you. Definitely the BC CFO is much faster than the Ontario CFO. It's already 45 days for me and nothing.

With so many glowing reviews, you guys are making my life difficult. Do I buy 2 of these little guys, or go for a surplus Jericho 941? Decisions decisions
