Norinco or SAM 1911a

For my first pistol, I was going to buy the Norc 1911A1 Police, but my buddy at Reliable showed me an R1 Enhanced right next to it. I ended up getting the R1. It's a couple of bones more, but it really shoots nice and the finish is a lot better than the Norc. The R1 is my first brand-named gun that I paid lots of money for (I know, some of you may think it’s not a lot of money), so as a result, I really baby it and I’m all paranoid about getting it scratched and beat up.

I’ve got two other Norcs (the AR and the M14) that I absolutely love, but not afraid to use and abuse. The M14 has been in the dirt, water, snow, dropped on the ground and scratched to $hit and it doesn’t bother me one bit. I’m not too concerned about the appearance of the AR as well, but for I feel like the R1 should be on display in a glass case.

At the end of the day, I love my R1 and it’s fun to shoot, but I still may end up getting a Norc 1911A1 just to abuse, haha! For the price, how can you go wrong as long it goes bang every time you squeeze the trigger. I’d be happy just to get rounds on paper at 20 meters for $389.99

I have a Norinco 45TT sports model which I now have about 1400 rounds thru. This gun has been great in every aspect of shooting other then the rear sights which are the military type. Yucky to say the least. I put a set of LP's from Italy on it and solved that problem real quick. The Lp's I obtained from a dealer who has a outlet here in Canada as well as in the US. The gun I bought from Marstar who were excellent $349.00 plus tax delivered to my door. The wife signed for it and didn't even know what she signed for. Big Joke in my house as my wife does not shoot at all. At my club we call these Chinese Kimbers for the fun of it as many of us have bought them and everybody is pleased. The sight dealer is not one of our sponsors so I will not state his name on here but a PM will get it out of me. You will love his prices as well. :)
