Norinco appears to be a sales or exporting company.

I have 3 Norc 1911s, a CZ clone, a SIG clone and the $99 special.

The Sig is veru impressive. Very accurate, smootha nd great trigger, right out of the box.

The CZ is accurate, but is shedding parts. Barrel bushing and saftey.

The 1911s are shockingly accurate. Give a M52 a run for the money.

Do we know if these pistols are made by the same company, in the same or different factories?

Not that i know of, but there is a new company in china inport shot guns to the us, and now there is a small gun shop in alberta selling them, the Company is TTN, and they make noce copies of the coach gun and the 1895 pump, nicer looking than the norc ones, quality is better

Can anything be done about the safety on that CZ clone, or are we pretty much stuck with a broken safety once it does break? I didn't know they had a barrel bushing! You mean like the 1911? Also, what kind of accuracy are you getting from the CZ and Sig clones?

Screw the Chi-coms and the Cuba-coms!

Northern Industries Incorporated [Norinco] is a Red Chinese Communist company operated by the Red Chinese Army. They reverse-engineered the superb John M. Browning designed 1911 and sold them to the West to make money.
The Chi-coms need the money to build an aircraft carrier and submarines to threaten the West, that's us, when things on the international scene go sideways. Giving money to the Chi-coms or spending your money with the Cuba-Coms only helps them to beef up their military forces to challenge the West. Enough said.

If that was the case I think China is in a world of hurt. Because if the Canadian firearms market is big money to them they REALLY need money!

Rodger Kotanko [mauser13@brant.net] assures me he tried a CZ safety in my Norc and it fits. I guess that is the solution.

Yes, it has a bushing . it is held in place by the cross pin that also holds in the front sight. If the hole is drilled slightly too high, the bushing can pop out. Rodger says he has seen same problem on a real CZ. Silver solder fixes that one.

Actually, I'd love to see them build a trojan horse that looks like your avatar. I know they'd have me mezmerized enough to sneak in & take over the country...... :p

What are you basing this incredibly outlandish idea on? This sounds like the kind of bizarre ramblings that you find on conspiracy theory websites which are totally in left field and 99% of the time totally untrue.
I would LOVE to hear about your sources on this.

ive strongly considered getting a NORC 1911 i hear there are a close clone of the origional and fuction pretty good for the price....

They didnt reverse engineer ,they bought colts old tooling when colt went tits up in 1992 .That being said the fit and finish on later examples is excelent.accuracy is also very goodand they are as reliable as any 1911.I've owned 2 and shot probably half a dozen others and their accuracy almost makes me wonder why i bought a kimber....

There are several firearms manufacturing factories in China, all under the Norinco banner. Some of them produce the same models of firearms, but have very different levels of quality control.
While some may produce sub-standard quality, others are actually quite good. It's the sub-standard places that dirty the Norinco brand name worldwide.
That being said, it appears that the Chinese have started to tighten up their QC issues and they factories are starting to put out a more homogeneous product.

As for the comments on the impending Chinese invasion; they don't need to send aircraft carriers to kick our asses, they are killing us economically by the death of 1000 cuts. I am in sales and marketing... we are taking a severe beating in sales and exports, and I do mean "severe".

If your concerned about buying things made in china, then throw out 75% (conservatively) of the things in your home.

Some of us do our best to NOT buy Chinese, whenever possible. It helps if you don't ever shop at Wal-Mart or Costco, but that can be tough if you've got little mouths to feed.

That said, the only Norc handgun I have owned was a 1911, which was supposed to be one of the best of the company's offerings. It was an utter piece of crap, useless even as a boat anchor, as it was rusting too fast to last long. It was so bad that I GAVE it away, and then the recipient couldn't stand the free handgun either - She traded it towards an XD.

Your mileage may vary.

Wow Nelly

Love the comment about the FN Fal. My 7.62 Nato round semi auto, made in 1954 was a wonderful rifle for a young Canadian recruit in 1981. I loved that damn rifle. One of the finest rifles ever made in my opinion. Wish I still had my prohib. Bad mistake loosing that. Just had to say.

Thanks Steve
