How are they overall? Are they the same type of plastic that are used on their shotguns?

Do they warp under pressure easily or are they pretty solid? Also, how are the sling studs and swivels? Are they made of pot metal or are decent?

Compared to the USGI fibreglass stock, they're heavier, wider at the fore-end, and not as rigid. I don't want to say it's a bad stock, but I much prefer the USGI one.

Maybe this is a good comparison. Compared to the tupperware stock used on Savage rifles (not the Accustock), are they better?

I left the synthetic norc stocks on two of my rifles and I have no complaints. Haven't had any twisting or movement issues. Other than the forearm being slightly wider than my usgi synthetic and no checkering, I don't find them a bad stock at all.

If I go out hunting in heavy bush, I'll swap out my Boyd/usgi stocks with the Norinco stock. Unfortunately, Norc stocks can't be bedded - not rigid enough but otherwise, they're fine.

Ok thanks. I saw that Hungry got IGR to mod his Nork stock for CQB AR-15 style upgrades and it looks like they're plenty robust for that.

Compared to the cheapo Savage stocks I'd say they're noticeably more robust and stiff. My only real complaint about them is that they're sort of heavy.

(edited to add)

The two shorties in my Avatar have nearly identical metal bits but the one in the Norc stock is almost 3/4 of a pound heavier.
