NORINCO pump 12ga

Cool pics MudChucker, nice russian as well. a0jc a pistol fore grip might do it, I'm probably on about nothing, just an old school guy who likes to touch, shoulder, inspect what I'm buying before purchace...ideally fire it at range, one round speaks volumes as to how a gun feels to me.

I understand. I prefer to touch, feel, inspect and shoot rather than speculate before purchase. Hate online shopping for that, but all the cool stuff are online.

MudChucker; Is this an 18" HP9 full stock? {pics} I'm not that lanky and I'm sure I can easily reach out 26" with one arm. My concern at this point is accidentally blowing off thumb and index finger off when rapid firing......kind of makes the other 3 rounds in the magazine redundant at that point.

The only shotguns I can even imagine such a thing happen on, is one with a 8.5 or the 6.5 inch barrel. I didn't even notice until I posted a video of myself shooting on here, and someone brought to my attention how close my finger and thumb were to the muzzle. These extra shorties, are the only ones where your hand will end up right next to muzzle if you aren't extra careful. Even the 12.5 has a LOT more clearance than the 8.5.

Don't buy a single HP9...

Buy TWO of them! I did and ended up selling one to a friend who would not stop badgering me until he had my 14" HP9 in his gun safe. :D

It was Plink who turned me on to the Norinco HP9 shotguns. I'm always all about the 870 Wingmasters because they are so well finished. BUT I just had to have the 14" barrel for bear defense (my son is a tree planter).

I also love having to read "Barrel < 14" (or whatever millimeters length)" on my registration certificate. It's so cool!

No doubt Remmy 870's are great and all that stuff (I've owned 4 of them), but my HP9 is the one that gets out all the time. I've even installed a set of RealTree Hardwoods furniture bought for $ 75.00 from www.ellwoodepps.com ... that way it's got that camo tactical fudd look! :D

You will never regret an HP9 purchase! And on the EE Forums, the Norinco HP9's sell like mad! Especially with the factory supplied 14" barrel! :D

Cheers,
Barney

Yea, I don't know about two but I can't get away from killercane's post on EE,the buggers almost got me sold, but I can feel a hook in my cheek:-} $310+taxes+shipping will quickly bring it to a $400+ shotty, for a little more I could be into a north american 870 I'm sure I could get locally..know what I mean....sitting on the fence.

I am literally down to one. Got a bunch of orders this morning, and I just popped a new order. ETA is 1-2 weeks for new stock.

Dude... just do it... once you have it in your hands and your over the buyers remorse, go shoot the sh1t out of it - you'll come home giggling like the day you figured out what else the ol stick and balls could do ;) and get one of his SKS kits while your at it ! 5 inch group at 100 yards ! there is a video in my facebook group of my buddy from Vancouver shooting the SKS out in the bush...on the weekend... he's still giggling... dude... by the shotty!

if you search facebook for Manitoba Sportsmen and you will find a group by that name.. check out the video :)

BCP; What don't you love about it? Is the finish rougher than you expected? Is the feed/extraction "snaggy" not smooth?......Outside of 12 feet can't hit anything? Umm..the last comment wasn't "aimed" at your skills but rather the dynamics of the firearm :p

He he... :) It's actually pretty good for accuracy, once I compensated for it being way off to the right. 8" to the right at 25m. With no adjustment for windage on the sights, it's going to take a bit of work to compensate. The sights are a little canted, the forestock is pretty thin, and the locking bar marginally made contact. I could rack one into the chamber, then twist the forestock enough to unlock the action! A bit of bending corrected the problem. For $300... it is what it is.

If you really want to support domestic, support Savage Arms. They actually have a factory in Canada. Ironically, the only short barreled economic shotgun they sell is a Stevens 350 18" Security which is a Chinese Ithaca M37 clone. Mossberg has Mossberg International which imports from Brazil and Remington rebrands various firearms and ammo from all over the world under it's various subsidiaries and itself is a subsidiary of the all dominating Freedom Group WHICH itself is part of Cerberus Capital Management that contains companies that sell everything from drugs to cars and owns things like television stations and private military contractors. Winchester does the same with some of it's firearms like the Wildcat, but Winchester is subsidiary of the Belgian FN who also own Browning. SO; In the world of international corporations, what is truly domestic? The only thing keeping cheap Chinese firearms from pouring into the US is the import ban on Chinese firearms. It'd be no surprise if Remington imported Chinese 870's with the "Assembled in the USA" moniker if they could considering that the factories and expertise already exist in China (thanks to folks like us unfortunately). If Para-Ordnance is any indication, money trumps nationalism.

Hopefully that banishes some guilt for getting one of these. :p

What guilt? They only thing I feel bad for is that 4 years after I got the Hp1 and I'm still too broke to get a surefire foreend for it.

Both.

Call me at 866-836-5131 to order. We're here til 6p.m. CST today.
