NORINCO pump 12ga

Hi there,
Do you get any complaints about the 780 "Homeland Security" I know the reviews are not great but i just purchased one thought i could fix it up a bit.

I don't sell the $130.00 Homeland Security one. No warranty on them and no guarantees on function. The HP9's we sell come with a 5 year warranty and zero complaints.

Get one !! I got a HP-9 ,mossburg 590a ghost ring sights , 1 shot mag ext, I really like it .....and think for the money you cant go wrong, Like others have said ..if you dont like it ... sell it here on EE ...it will sell quick

I really need to add, ki11ercane is a seriously stand up guy - he totally up sold me on the HP9 and I couldnt be happier with it.

x2

I bought an HP9 this summer, and it is a hoot. I probably have 800 rounds through it, and it's just as much fun now as when I first bought it.

actually even more, as the action has smoothed out with time.

I've also bought several other guns from killercane, and all is good!

just buy it!

Well i do have the Norinco 780 Home Security Model just got it and i am going to keep it as it seems like it is a sturdy little gun.. cycles great, a friend of mine has one and he said they are great target shooters but are prone to jamming due to rough edged parts so i plan to do some surgery on it and smooth out the rough edges a bit so it will be my project gun... but having said that i will definitely pick up one of the HP9's this summer too...there is always room for one more Shotgun....:)

Well, i don t even know where to start..........all i can say is man i got burned.I was cleaning up my Norinco Homeland Security "14 got the Cycling working great Cosmoline out of it then i put it back together and Cycled it a few times and guess what happened? The Magazine tube broke completely off.... It literally broke the weld/brazing and just fell apart...i was stunned i should have read the reviews and paid attention and done my homework. To anyone considering buying one of these piece of garbage please don't! I learned a good lesson today and even though i am completely disappointed and in shock i will learn from this Mistake and listen to others instead of trying to save a few bucks....i wish i had of bought the HP9 and in time i will.I don t even know if it can be repaired or if i even want to bother trying...i may just cut my losses and start fresh. Here is a pic before all hell broke loose.

fender try this

take it to an experienced welder. don't take offence but do not take it to "some guy with a stick welder in his garage" get it tig welded or brazed back together by the best welder you can find. for 130 you will still be ahead after the welder bills you.

I think we have 4 or 5 of the 14" HP9's in stock at @$269.95. Once they are gone they will be back to around $300 as we purchased them on special.

I agree with you but these guns sell new for $127.00 so it isn t worth it for me to sink $130.00 into it for a repair , someone is going to look at it for me tomorrow night in the Halifax area to see what can be done...i may just have to cut my losses with this one and sell as a parts gun if someone wants it.... then save and get a better quality shotgun in the Summer sometime.

780 for sale as a parts gun? I guess you'll easily find someone else with a broken one that needs parts. So long as it's different stuff broken on theirs. Worst part is, the 780 generally can't even take 870 replacement parts, so the parts gun is the only option for replacement parts.

sorry you misunderstood

I didn't mean to say that the cost of the weld would be 130. When i said 130 I meant the origional cost of the gun. I cant see the repair going over 30

Yes unfortunately i learned the hard way..........but this defect could have been fatal if a round had been fired through it first then it broke apart. Here is a pic of where it broke off from.

oh okay...i misunderstood you....lol $30.00 woulld be much more acceptable.

Yeah, you'd have pretty much been farked if that broke firing a round. The barrel would have blown the whole front end off, your off-hand would have taken the brunt, but there would have been plenty of burnt powder all around. Consider yourself to be quite lucky it broke during maintenance. Perhaps if you bought it from a dealer contact them about a refund. Laugh if they offer a replacement.

Actually i did a private trade so i am going to eat it on this deal....i am taking it to a gunsmith tonight to see if it can be salvaged.

Well just got back from the Gun Smith and it looks like my Shotgun is going to make it....he is going to re solder the break and get it back into shape, surprisingly he did say.... although it wasn't no Remington it should be a half decent little gun by the time he is done.

A good smith will very likely be able to make it a decent shooter, I'm happy to hear it will work out.
