not sure if anyone posted before but i would like to ask if anyone knows what handguard rails will fit the norinco CQ m4. like drop in or small mods?

Best bet is a multi piece free float rail, like Midwest, or Troy - they require that you cut the Delta ring assembly off, and then assemble the rail on to the original barrel nut. Easy to do and works well - certainly easier than stripping the upper down.

Just bought a cheap drop in quad rail from International Shooting Supplies. I've never heard of the manufacturer before...Drummond...but for $80, it looks quite good. Tried it on the Norc that I've just sold, and it went on really easily. The front goes over the handguard cap and you use two allen screws to tension it together. It sits right behind the front sight post, so it doesn't move. The rear just goes into the delta ring like all other handguards, and is also secured by two allen screws. It even came with a complete set of rubber rail covers.

I'm going to run this for a while in the Stag that I'm building. The previous owner of my Norc had installed an immitation KAC quad rail. Install is a bit more tricky, and it looks like there was some filing involved.

Not a quad rail, but the Cavalry Arms PINK furniture that my wife put on her Norinco M4, required minor fitting.

Cheers
Jay

Anyone ever install a Daniel Defence EZ CAR 7.0 on a CQ-A? Thinking of picking one up for a future build while One Shot still has them in stock. Heard some of the Norcs have issues sometimes mating with mil-spec parts.

there is a cupple of the NC star rails on ebay for $50 so i think i might try that one for now. thanks for all the info and help
