Norinco red box

Looks like Cabela's/Bass Pro has a sale again on Norinco 7.62x39...and despite the wrong photo of white box in the online ad, what they sell is the red box noncorrosive (should be 311 20)...but it's $9.99 a box at the moment and in store it's the red box in stock (should also be the same online despite the old stock photo).

Today, I received another batch of 500rds from Cabela's in red boxes. Indeed, they are 311/2020. Surprisingly, they shoot very well (accurately) in my new Howa 1500 Mini Action. Better than in my Ruger Ranch.

Tenda has it as well but they clearly state it is new production red box for a bit more. Actually only 30 cents more for me since they don't charge me PST unlike Cabelas. I don't want to order from Cabelas and somehow get that white box stuff.

I can't remember when the switch happened. I just recall one month ordering a bunch online and going to pick them up. One month the boxes were white, the next month they were red. I figured it was just a packaging thing, and haven't noticed any performance differences.

I've read a number of reviews online (maybe between 8-10) that state the Norinco 7.62x39 ammo was corrosive, despite being advertised as non. Given that they were just usernames on retail websites, corroborating or following up was not possible to see what was up.
