Norinco SKS-D trigger

Hello members,

I was wondering if anyone had experience with polishing or working on SKS triggers to make them some what smoother. I do not expect to get anything close the smoothness of my Rem700P but it would be nice to have a crisper trigger feel with less useless travel.

I've yet to try it but it looks like a good idea...I've got a Norc that has a "bumpy" trigger, like it is catching on something as it travels...so far some wear has helped, but what about working some lapping compound into the trigger group and working it for an hour or so?

I got in couple or 3 sets of wolf spring kits for these,
but have not tried one yet to see what the improvment
may be.

If you overdo it and remove the surface hardening, one day something very exciting will happen. As long as you know where "overdo" begins, all will be well.

The SurplusRifle website had an excellent article on the SKS triggers.
DO YOUR RESEARCH!!
Done right big improvements can be had with little work and be completely safe.
Done wrong and well, you should know what could happen...
