Norinco SKS-D

I ended up getting the one at my local dealer, $350 included a 5/30 and 5/10 clip, aftermarket stock and a red dot. I cant figure out how to post a pic!

That is a fantastic deal. I sold my D with one 5/30 mag (it had the same mag release as the fixed mag versions) for 350 bucks and the buyer was happy as I was. It was a good reliable shooter, never a FTE or FTF, and accurate as any good SKS. No problem with removing and changing mags either.

But I prefer the simple fixed mag and the clip re-loading system, just because of that ridiculous 5-round rule.
 
Great deal you got. Wish I had come across it. Some people want ridiculous sums for these, "D"s. At a certain point I think buying a non-res CZ858 is a better idea. Better manufacture, abundance of accessories and spare mags wont cost you $50.00+... It's what I did. I still am seeking an SKS-D or SKS-M.
 
If you really want the detachable magazine feature on an SKS, just get the Tapco 5/20 plastic mags. IMO, cosmetically the same.

The Tapcos are reliable, durable and easy to load/unload, reasonable at $60 each but you can get a Russkie refurb plus 3 Tapcos for total of $380.

And you can always revert to the original box mag.
