Norinco SKS or Russian SKS?

I love my russian sks but the norinco military (marstar) are top notch>
I love the chrome lined barrel. Shot corrosive, forgot to clean for 2 weeks, no corrosion at all.
So that are both quality pieces.

Russian has nicer wood though, but metal work and bluing seems equal

MARSTAR SKS RIFLES;
Please read our ad, they are4 NOT Norinco, they ARE military issue Chinese and are brand new....

So my reg cert says norinco but mine is a Chinese military rifle, serial number, factory etc all check out.

If youre going to shoot it alot, go with the marstar, chrome lined ftw

Except for 1949 and some early 50 models, Russian SKSs are chrome lined as well. You can get essentially new non refurbed Russians here for $169. So it depends on whether you want a gun with potential history, or a new one. Hell, get one of each, they're cheap!

My Factory 306 military SKS was one nice rifle. The wood wasnt the greatest but everything else was. It was very tight, just a fine rifle all around...except the wood...

I don't know what kind of Asian wood they used for these rifles? Its nothin really special to look at and its surface and cuts are quite rough, but it serves the purpose and is strong and durable.

the wood is called "catalpa" and it doesnt split at the grip.
