Tried the search engine and didn't get very far. Not very familiar with the SKS. What are your opinions of the Norinco SKS vs any others that are available? I assume a price around $200 is about what they sell for. I think it is time I crossed to the dark side.

Take Care

if you have to ask , it wont be long you'll join the dark side. its futile to resist.:D

what others avail? there are none in a semi (centre fire) at that price.

SKS'sss are going up in value as they are scarce. Pretty soon I'll be able to get $1000 for my SKS-D! It'll soon be worth more than a nickle plated Colt Python with Ivory grips.

Harrrrrr... if you do find one tho, buy it, they are a blast to shoot. And you can bubba the hell out of them.

IMHO they are scarce in Canada as some of our importers want it that way.
There are lots of SKS rifles out there.

Epps has some sks's for $179.00, Lever usually has them for $149.00 but are currently sold out, but they are expecting a shipment late summer.

$149 was last year price, i wouldnt be at all surprised that it get bumped higher.

Just for the record - the scarcity of the SKS-D is not something manufactured by the importers or retailers in Canada - Norinco simply isn't making any more of these rifles right now, so what we've got in country is all we're going to get.

An SKS will never be worth over $300 in my eyes.

never ... can be a long time.

this is what everybody thought about the 303 LE in the 50s & 60s, the pawn shops was full of them, they were being sold for $25-30 , now see what a non-bubba is selling for.

You are correct, but I was refering to regular SKS's.
And still I wouldn't pay over $200 for a D model.
