I am very interesting to get one of these Norinco 1911, but I found two different model from different supplier, don't know which one better.

Thanks in advance.

Same gun Just some small changes

Serrations are different and the front and rear sight/Glass breaker is bigger.. Other then that I dont think there is much different

From the looks of it, the Police and Sport Models look the same, save for the front slide serrations and the higher sights.

Fact is, my Sport looks like the Police in your pictures. But then again, the gent I bought my Sport from, could have mistakenly called his Police, a Sport. But they look essentially the same with similar hammers, beavertail, slide top rib, long perforated trigger, extended slide lock, ambi safety.

I would be concerned if one had a match barrel and the other didn't.

The reason I ask is because I know Norinco is the exporter, they may have those gun manufactured in different source, so the quality may be different from batch to batch. They looks much nicer year after years. Now I really like the looks of them.

That top one you posted has been sold out forever...I think it was Canada Ammo. I drooled over that a year ago. I also drooled over Marstar's Chromed 1911A1, it looked so sweet, but they sold out of the single stacks. Who wants a double stack for the extra 2-3 rounds it can (legally) hold?

I held out for the Norinco USGI 1911A1 and I love it. Works flawlessly.

Ive heard people complain about the beaver-tail on the sport model, it digs into you/ is pointy. (source http://www.youtube.com/user/MrLongbranch303#p/u/5/l8I_c6l_3_s
here at 2:54 a fellow CGNer complains about the beaver tail on his Norinco 1911.)

Marstar sold out of the USGI 1911 but I think they and others have the COMMANDER model, parkerized. It looks pretty sweet and is what I would get if the USGI was sold out.

Note the beaver tail isnt pointy.
Marstar expects them in soon http://www.marstar.ca/expected/index.shtm

Read somewhere that the Police Models sold here were leftovers from an Asian contract order with the Philippine National Police, and they called it the Police model then and the name stuck here.

So once these leftovers were sold out, they are gone forever. I do like the lower sights on them better than those on the Sport, though. YMMV
