Will the owners of this pistol please give me some feed back on the longevity of this pistol. I am thinking about purchasing one, but don't know whether I should or not. Thanks for your help in advance! :D

My experience is that they're built like tanks (except for the grip panels). Great bang factor at the range with 7.62 ammo. Triggers are mediocre. Get the 54 without the add-on safety if you can.
 
I've had a chance to shoot it at the range thanks to a fellow gun nut. It feels pretty darn good in my hands. As for accuracy, I don't expect much for $199. LOL! I'm just more concern about how long the sucker will last.

You should be able to get ammo from Lever Arms for less shipping cost.

A buddy of mine shot his T54 at a defensive pistol course. 600 rounds during the day, no stoppages or failures. A more ergonomic safety would be nice though. It fit pretty well in a Kydex 1911 holster.:p Definitely the least expensive pistol there.

I'm guessing that shipping a case of ammo to Saskatoon, with HazMat fees, won't be cheap.

I looked at Marstar for the ammo, but it is almost as much as I pay for Win 9mm. Shipping would be enough from there too.

Time to reload.
 
OH man! Now I have an opportunity to buy a CZ-52! Got to admit the only reason why a Tok is because I'm fascinated with the 7.62x25 cartridge. So now I have a chance to get a CZ-52. What should I do??!!
 
From what I hear, the CZ- is well built but has a weakness in the firing pin. Some guys who shoot theirs a lot have replaced their firing pins with new ones. I'd say you cannot go wrong with either one but would go for the Tokarev because it's so damn cute
 
If you don't dry fire the CZ52 - the firing pin will not easily broke. Even if it broke - replacement is not difficult to find. CZ is better build than Chinese T54. Anyway-both are fun to shoot and inexpensive - why not get one of each ?

Get both, the T-54 and the Cz-52

They have been going strong since the 30s and the 50s. Over time, the TT will last longer, since the 52 small parts are more delicate. The 52 can take strong SMG loads however, but not the TT. The 52 is kind of the magnum of the two. The TT needs Tokagypt grips, if you can find them.
