We are busy, but so far keeping up with demand, and it's usually about two weeks from when we get it until receipt of your tuned Norinco :)

Has anyone sent theirs out and gotten it back yet?

I sent mine end Sept and still nothing. I've tried e mailing and phoning during the times listed on the site and no response.

5 months! That can't be right??

'Course it does help if you have nice telephone manners... ;) :p

Come on NAA, I always treat everyone with respect UNTIL they continually bull***t me. Seems I am not the only one whos 2 hour job turns into a 5 month epic voyage just like SS Minow. Hmmmmm the Gilligan similarities........

Maybe the workload is too much for the Skipper - needs the Professor to give him a hand?

Excellent work and a Gentleman to boot. I am very happy with my 45's thank you sir. The Springfield has not been fired and is just collecting dust but can't stop looking at it.
Cheers

My intent is not to attack him or critcize his work, simply to get my pistol back.

I've tried to contact him for several weeks now but nothing, and that includes faxing. I've asked that if the work is not yet completed that he send my pistol back with the money (minus shipping). If he had simply answered over the past while, I would not have posted here.

I bought some mag pouched for IPSC a while back and was completely satisfied with his communications and the items.

This is kinda discouraging to hear. Me and a friend are about to order .22LR pistols off of him. But if no one can contact him then we will look elsewhere.

Or is it just for gunsmithing that seems to be the problem?

I just bought a pistol off him, every time I have tried calling, he's answered the phone and helped me out. Transfer was approved today, now all I need to do is sit tight and wait for Canada Post to deliver.

Spoke to Gunnar this morning via telephone. Got him first thing (he is not so available Tues/Thurs as he is tries to work uninterrupted). Always prompt with his email too.

He was very helpful and accommodating on purchase recommendations, advice, conversation even though I have become a nuisance with all of my questions, changing of mind etc. This was for new purchases, not gunsmithing.

I know my local gunsmith has a hard time getting parts and supplies in from his distributors... I think it might be an issue everywhere.

I've only delt with Gunnar on purchases and things have gone smoothly........hopefully all his sales aren't slowing his "smith" time too much.

I just bought a revolver from him and his service was top notch. I have not had him do any gunsmithing for me, but I would vouch for him with regards to purchases.

Hmmmm. Slammin the Gunsmith... A wise move!?

I manage to connect with Gunnar fairly regularly. Both to ask questions and to have work done. I've managed to catch him both by email and on the phone.

Gunnar has always been straight up with me on how long something is going to take and how much it is going to cost. I've had this experience buying a 1911 from him and having my Colt Trooper Mk III 'smithed.

He states clearly that he is a one man (and one woman) operation and from what I understand, he has only one pair of hands.

One should be able to see that he can be busier than a one legged man at an ass kicking contest.

Considering the lack of available knowledgeable pistolsmiths around, I would caution against biting the hand that feeds you.

Choose your words carefully.

I understand he's busy and that he does not have a full time staff working for him.

I have tried to contact him by phone, fax and email and have been polite in all cases with the exception of the fax where I was sarcastic, which I regret.

As I stated I have bought items from him in the past and was more than happy with my dealings with him. He initially offered this package with a 2 week turn-around, which I believe he soon found was a mistake as that part was taken off his sight. No problem there, I didn't expect it back 2 weeks later. I also asked to have the mag well beveled and the lower barrel lugs checked as they were peening and sent the amount of $ he said it would be in addition to the tune-up.

The pistol was sent out 30 Sept and picked up by him on 7 Oct. I assume there was no major problem with the lower lugs as he has not indicated more work is reqr and the amount for that work. He has found the time to post pistols he has tweeked here on the board as recently as 19 Mar so of course I am wondering what the status of mine is.

At this point all I ask is that if the work is not completed, send it back with the $205 I sent minus shipping, and I do realize that there is a shortage of good smiths, however, the customer feeds them, not the other way around.
