I received my Nork back from Armco on Monday and got to the range today to shoot it.
I had the tune-up package done as well as having the mag well beveled and the feet of the barrel checked. Everything moves much more smoothly and the trigger is very nice and crisp, I believe he sets it to 3.5 lbs. The work on the mag well is very nicely done and makes a big difference in getting the mag seated quicker.
He did a nice job de-burring various spots and trued up the breech face. What I didn’t expect was the job he did in regards to the feet of the barrel. They were hitting the frame a bit and causing some peening and he milled out the frame so that it has the proper bow tie that Norinco does not machine in. I don’t have my camera at the moment but am attaching a pic from the 1911 site that shows what I am talking about.
I fired 100 rounds (thanks again Peter) out of it and am very happy. I was able to keep about 90% of the shots in a nice tight pattern in the A zone shooting both deliberate and rapid from 25 yds.
I want to thank Gunnar publicly for the quality work he did on my gun.
