Norinco Woes

Ok, so everyone seems to think the barrel is bent. Is it worth getting a new barrel? Is the Norc receiver worth anything. Should I just get an upper?

If the upper isn't bent or otherwise mangled there is no need to replace it.

Yeah, take the handguard and barrel nut off first. See if the barrel isn't sitting perfectly flush against the upper. Might just need a couple taps to straighten it out.

Well I just wanted to thanks all my fellow gun nuts for their input. I just returned from the range and the gun now shoots nice and straight. I want to thank Gary the gunsmith at Shooter's Choice in Waterloo. He told me that who ever had installed the Spike's free floating hand guard had over tightened the barrel nut. This is what was causing it to pull so far to the right. With my Leatherwood 1-4 power scope I was able to keep my shots all within about a two inch group at 50yrds. I know the rifle is capable of more.
Now it is time to practice, practice, practice.
