Is it worth buying or should I save for a used Ruger MK I or II or III.
I think I know that answer but I thought I would ask anyway. First and only hand gun After some shooting I want to start with a .22Lr till I get a lot better before spending money on center fire, I'm broke as always. :D

Or any other suggestions in the 22.Lr field are welcome.

not bad. i had one shot hard left and the sight didnt adjust well. im not a big guy by any streach and I found the grip small too.

if your fixed on a pistol, cant beat the rugers. I recently got a H&R 922 for 99 bucks. awsome little gun, and alot of fun.

had 2 of Nork M93, hit and miss , one have very bad trigger , rear sights sucks, will get loose after a few mags otherwise they are OK for the price. I still have one and it's 2 month old, the old one I sold out (very nice and smooth trigger, I miss it)
Very ammo sensitive, as the most .22. Mine loves American Eagle/Federals and CCI , Remington and Winchester will cause the problems none stop.
And yeah, don't get any cleaners on plastic grips and mags followers, will melt it in seconds.

Took mine out to the range for a second try, the first trip was a nightmare.

I bought a box of the cheapo Federal ammo, I've got two buddies that swear by it. Well the Lil' Norc was a Jammomatic Piece of Crapola that day. Never had a pistol behave so badly, light strikes, FTF, FTE, double feeds. Needless to say I wasn't happy with my new Norc and figured I had gotten a dud.

Yesterday another trip to the range but with assorted 22LR ammo, Winnie Wildcat & Super X, AE and some CCI Stingers. Well the little Norc came through for me. It ate up all the ammo I could throw at it. Only one light strike and it was the expensive CCI stuff.

Needless to say I'm pretty happy now and have learned my lesson with rimfire pistols, some just don't like certain ammo. Gonna stock up on some Winnie and AE

Every semi-auto .22 I have ever owned was picky about certain ammo!

I've had one for about 2 years now, goes "bang" almost every time. In about 1000 rounds, I've had about 5 ftf's. .... just bad rounds 'cause they wouldn't fire in other firearms either. The Norinco M-93 is a real decent gun for the price.

I had one. Cost about $200ish from marstar shipped. It had the odd jam but as long as you found the ammo it liked you were fine. Taking it apart is nightmare territory until you are good at it. If the slide spring ever comes out your best bet is to use a straw and a cleaning rod to put it back it. But overall they are fun.
