I've been looking at the M93 .22 "Woodsman copy" and the Norinco M-77B 'Chinese Military' 9x19mm. Any feedback on these? I'm new to handguns and the price is right!

Many people say pass on the .22, but many say the 77B is good. I shot buddy's 77B. Very nice gun, but large and thick. You might be better served spending buying a NZ-85B, which everyone loves.

There was someone on the site who reported on the 77. Maybe you can find it. As far as the 93 goes, some have reported problems, as far as others are concerned, they are adequate plinkers.
The Norinco offerings seem to vary in quality from model to model. Everyone agrees that the 305s are a best buy - but can you think of any other rifle that might have to have its barrel indexed because the factory couldn't be bothered to use basic jigs to index them properly? I have an NP29 ordered because some folks whose opinions I respect recommend them. I have sold quite a number of the Brno copies, both .22Mag. and .22lr. They work, they're accurate, and they are almost embarrassingly crude in their finishing. Sold only 2 of the Browning pattern .22 semis, and had to work on them both before they were functional enough to sell.
Norincos can represent good value, but......
If you want a good lower priced recreational .22 pistol, look for a used standard model Ruger, a High Standard Sentinel or Double Nine revolver, or a relatively recent H&R revolver.
