nork 1911, how to paint?

Gun Kote is what I used. Blast all the parts with aluminum oxide (120grt., 100psi approx.). Preheat parts in oven, spray with an airbrush, bake as per directions, apply a second coat, bake again, let cool and shoot. My slide was very well fitted so when it was painted the tolerances were just too tight to get it back on, had to use some valve grinding compound to remove some paint and get it back on.

Another "Painted" one...

I call this my "Norc-in-Stein"....

Norc 1911A1 frame, Colt USGI slide, Springfield Armory .45ACP barrel, Wilson combat sites, misc small parts, Pachmayr grips, Mec-Gar 8 shot magazine with bumper.

Finish is allegedly desert brown 'Armacoat'.... I've got no further details on how/who/where/when it was done.... picked this up for cheap off the EE awhile back. I kinda like it....
