Norma 6.5 Caracano?

Guys I just picked some crates full of odds and ends, bunch of Weatherby brass, a variety of bullets, and some older factory loaded ammo,included with this is 1.5 boxes of Norma 6.5 Car. Is this stuff of any particular value?

It is to someone with a Mannlicher Carcano rifle. At a gunshow - no shipping expense - I would expect it could bring $40 or so.

norma ammo is the wrong diameter for a carcano. as far as i am concerned itis only woth the price of the brass

I have shot a few boxes of Norma Carcano ammo out of my three Carcanos and it shot just fine for me. I also do the "unthinkable" and reload using regular .264 diameter 6.5 bullets instead of the factory correct .268 diameter and have had ABSOLUTELY NO accuracy problems. Now, the bores in my three rilfles are MINT , unworn. Possibly a well worn Carcano would suffer badly from the SLIGHTLY smaller diameter but my guns do not. They don't shoot as good as my Swedes mind you, but they aren't bad at all. 2 inch groups at 100 yards suit me just fine. Carcano ammo is not the problem it used to be with Hornady and Privi partisan cases available now. I bought my last 100 from a supplier in the U.S. for $44.00 delivered to my door.
