Yeah, you're right about Re26, Jim. It really seems like a miracle powder, doesn't it. I've researched powders for .270 Win., 6.5x55, and 7 Rem. Mag. via QuickLoad, and Re26 shows up at about 50-100 fps faster than anything else, including MRP and Re22, at comparable pressures.

YUP ! Its MAJIC PIXIE powder ! and my 240 WBee LOVES it ! 280 AI - 7 mm PRC and 300 PRC LOVE it too ! lol

I agree with the comments on Reloder 36. It is like "magic" But about as hard to find as hen's teeth.
It produces the highest velocity in my 8mm Rem Mag with the 200 and 220 A-Frames.
But I have a limited stock, so keep it for that rifle/load(s) only. Dave.

Most certainly right about RL-26. Great powder. In my 300 Win with the 175 gr Barnes LRX I can get to 3225 ft/sec with it from a 24" barrel. Nothing else I have ever tried could get there or close. The bad part is the only thing harder to find that RL-26 is an honest politician JME
I use RL26 in my 240 Wby. and 270 Win., exclusively; it's unshared with other cartridges, hence I have a limited amount. However, I have two really old tins of Norma MRP ($29.99 price sticker on them) For the first time I used it yesterday for my 257 Wby., along with IMR-7828. The Norma tin has a metal sealer to prevent any condamination. When I poured the powder it appeared very healthy! It will be interesting for me, since this is the first time I used any Norma powder in any cartridge.
