Norma powders??

I know it's a long way from you, but Dave @ bcredneck.com has some Norma Powders. I have been a user of Norma Powders from the time I first tried old Norma 205 [now MRP] Clean, not particularly temp sensitive, and gives max velocities at sane pressures. I use N202, N204, N-MRP, as well as a couple of fast pistol numbers. Regards, Eagleye.
 
FYI, the Alliant Reloder series of powders is made in the same Bofors plant in Sweden as the Norma powders. Many people believe they are very similar, if not identical, to the Norma powders. For example, many believe that Reloder 19 is very, very close to N204; and Reloder 15 is very close to N203.
 
At one time I believe that Higginson Powders used to sell some surplus Norma powders ....I think I purchased some from him that said to use Norma RP5 data....now I see at one site on the web that RP5 was a Bofors powder and a little slower than MRP...anyway worth a quick call to Higginson perhaps

Edit - interesting ...curious about the source of Bofors powder I had a quick look on the net..apparently the parent company Eurenco makes Bofors and Vihtavuori powders. Also I found a site claiming that Norma ammunition is loaded with Bofors power; another that says Lapua distributes Vihtavuori powder...so it all looks pretty incestuous.

According to the Norma website, R. Nicholls in Longueil is the distributor, (although they make no mention of consumer stuff on their website- all military/tactical) but from comments I've read on CGN they are a pain to deal with (??)

So you may end using RL 15 in that 6.5 x 54 after all. (JITC and I were PM'ming about this.)
