Norma vs Lapua Brass for target 308 & 223

IF you were buying new brass would you get Norma or Lapua for 308 & 223 - for target shooting
If buying new Lapua or Norma brass any idea who generally has good prices in Ontario

Both are great brass but I find Lapua easier to get

Epps has decently competitive prices on Lapua brass. Smaller shops usually hike up the price of Lapua products unreasonably.

Norma brass is wildly expensive new, and I have no idea what the reasoning is.

Best of all is to snag a deal on the EE- usually need to be fast to grab though. Lots of hungry reloaders out there looking for a deal.

Lapua will more than likely give you a bit better brass life. Lapua is supposedly a little tougher when it comes to stouter loading........

I recently bought 300 1f norma 308 brass. It is awesome for match reloading...I have only reloaded 40 lapua brass and have only shot 10 of them but from that small sample ill say the 2 5 shotters were .5moa. The norma will do nearly the same with a slightly hotter load

Last time I asked for lapua 308 brass at epps the dude said they couldn't get it.

I'll have to ask next time I'm there. If love to get my hands on some brass and 155gr scenars...

I convert brass for a wildcat rifle. The Norma brass was second only to Federal for developing lose primer pockets the soonest.

This has also been my experience with most Norma brass as well.
Very well made, but many chamberings are on the "soft" side, compared to Lapua.

In the Epps area, 308 is around $85 a box. Same tax, save on the shipping. Hirsch is a little on the pricey side yet after shipping to anywhere that isn't Nova Scotia. I'd love to order from him, but the economics of it just don't make sense when sending it anywhere else in Canada.
