Whats the difference between the Norma Vulkan and Oryx bullets?
The Vulkans seem to be about $5 a box cheaper for the same weight.

I love the 286 gr 9.3 Oryx bullet. I have used many on animals in the 9.3x74 and x62 in Africa and here. Very very good performance.
For the money, I rate them highly for the caliber I shot.
A good mix of toughness, accuracy and opening.
But, I also have nothing bad to say about the Vulcans either. I just view them as a thinner skin game type of bullet. Just what I feel; likely no real difference on lighter skin game.

The Oryx is a premium bonded bullet that I have full confidence in for large animals. I have used the Oryx for shooting moose, elk, kudu, gemsbok, and giraffe. I would use the Oryx if hunting bear. the Vulcan is meant for very quick kills by opening quickly and expanding violently. In your 9.3mm it would still likely be a good bear bullet because it is so big and heavy. But it's designed for quick kills on driven European game that weights half of what a big bear does, wild boar and fallow deer for example.

oryx 9.3 bullet works very well on the european moose that should be bigger than any bear, on another token i know someone using it on bison in his 9.3x74r with very good results.
