Your cheapest avenue, would be to buy an SKS and a spray can of pink paint. Nothin' looks mean in pink.
And maybe highlight the bayonet with flouresent orange.:);)

just take a chinese SKS and add a monte carlo stock, they're cheap and completely change the look (remove bayonet). then go buy lots of ammo and keep it pointed in a safe direction downrange and ENJOY!!!!!

I've always liked CZ's firearms - never had a bad one no matter what type it was or when it was made. That CZ527 looks really nice. Do you know where it's available?

You'll have to do some shopping around. They're hard to find...and not cheap. It's also not the kind of gun you want to be pouring boiling water through after every shoot, so buy commercial ammo and reload.

I recently bought one at my local CDN Tire, they are also available at gunsnthings.com (although their web site says they are closed 'til april 1st).

I depends on the purpose of the rifle. Is it for hunting? Range?

I would suggest an SKS as well. Take off the bayo and it looks like a regular hunting rifle. There's a lot of aftermarket parts and accessories available for it, they're cheap, tough, reliable, and semi auto. Just my 0.02

I just picked up a 527 in 7.62x39 today from Wanstalls. They had 2 come in, and there was one left after mine. I don't see it listed on their site anymore so perhaps it has sold.

Thanks,
Cal.

Sks with a monte carlo stock, best looking hunting gun around. Cheap to buy, easy to maintain, very reliable. Inflation !!!.... Just my. 03 cents.
