North America Arms Corp NAACO History

I have a nice old NAACO 90D 30-06. Bill, sounds like you have one as well.

I always keep an eye out for anything NAACO for Bill. He got a couple of .22's from me.

Thanks for sharing the catalogue pics.

I'm late responding to mluckhardt's query re Globco. They were a firearms company based in Ottawa in the 1960s until I don't know when. They converted military rifles to sporter arms, like Lee Enfields and also the Swiss K-31(?) to .30-30 calibre. They also converted the Russian SVT 40 to .303 Br. They also seem to have acquired the NAACO .22 barreled actions after that company went bankrupt. I own at least three Globco rifles, two in .22 magnum that were built on NAACO .22 barrels; they have the NAACO-marked butt plates.

For what it's worth, the January - February 2023 issue of Ontario Out Of Doors magazine has an article in it that I wrote about the NAACO firm and its firearms. It's on page 34 of that issue and is entitled: The brief life of NAACO - A Toronto company was shuttered after allegedly partnering with the CIA.
