Well, I got my semi annual "special invitation" form the NAHC yesterday. I'm pretty sure they getthier mailing list form Cabelas, as they always seem to shwo up a few weeks after a Cabelas order..



Anyway, I htink I will (once again) accept thier offer and see how far I can push them this time.

I knew it was a scam the first time I saw it, but I sent int he card and got my free crap and lookd at the magazine, and wrote CANCEL on the card, jsut as they ask you to do.

But they kept sending magazines, and sending me bills, and eventually nasty letters demanding payment.

This annoyed me, so I harass them a bit whenever I get the chance.:dancingbanana:
 
Life's too short Gate - mines in the garbage too. I haven't bought anything from Cabelas in years, but maybe the mailing list came from Sinclair or Brownells.

Edited to add: I sure don't need a 710 either - not even for free.
 
I just got mine. At least there's some more nice stickers to decorate my tacklebox. The first one I got years ago told me I could sign up for $10. So I did. Then they told me it's $16 Canadian. I told them no. Then they sent me another bill for $30. Again, i told the to go pi$$ up a rope and send me my magazines. They sent 1. Several months, no mags. I gave them Hell, and got my "Subscription" extended to make up for the magazines I never got. I still get these sign up things every now and then.

A 'real' product like Heat Treat warmers to 'test' and evaluate in a fairly short span of time. Not a problem, with the exception of the timing, June.:rolleyes: I had a subscription but cancelled out shortly after that.

Damn, had to go in the garbage and check out the stickers. Still some mailing labels I can use......

Yeah, dug mine out too. I recall mixing my "street address" with my "mailing address" to be sure of delivery of a mail order item a couple of years ago from a canadian mail order company. I remember because my postmaster and I discussed it when I had a catalogue not correctly addressed.

The labels are in the same format, so it's a Canadian company selling our info.

Sadly the info on my label makes it difficult for me to use, so I guess I screwed myself on this one! lol
 
Ha ha, I joined for the free swag last year... now I am invited to become a LIFE MEMBER! WOWOWWOWOWOW! I started doing the same thing and the notices to renew go straight to the trash.
(And I also buy from Cabela's)
