North American Hunting Club

They sent a collection agency after me, and i didnt even buy anything from them. All I did was request further info from them with there suposed "no hassle info package", so I sent my lawyer after them and the have stopped sending me anything.

We were all ripin North American hunt club, on the Bass Pro outdoor forum, and what a rip off it was.

Then some guy came on, telling of the hunter exchange program they offer. Farmers, landowners, hunters, looking for an exchange of hunting big game, in their own hunt territory.
The exchange seemed to work for some.:yingyang:

I guess up front, it is a rip off, but like anything else, there may be a silver lining somewhere if you look deep enough?...:)

So, if I have a membership, just the 1 year, and I don't renew, they are going to send a collection agency after me? Well, I guess I'll be ready. I only got it because I just figured it looked like a decent magazine, which it sort of is, but not anything so good I really need to continue paying for it. I'll be sure and read everything carefully when the year is coming to it's end.

Wow!...not a lot of love for the NAHC!...I'll admit that I've been a member for close to 6 years. I actually like the magazine and they do include a fair number of Canadian and Newfoundland hunts. I've gotten some pretty decent stuff to field test, including schrade knives, lanterns, gun cases, etc...

I've never had any real problems with NAHC merchandise. I did try one of their all weather Goretex hunting suits for a free 30 day free trial. Used it, decided I didn't like it enough to keep it and sent it back on their dime. No problems and no collection agencies.

For the price of membership you get a decent magazine IMHO.

So I'm getting mixed signals here, how do people really feel about these clubs? Do you think I'm in trouble if I just gave them 2 credit card numbers and my bank account. They seemed like such nice people.....hahaha.

Oh and by the way does anyone know John Travolta? I can't get the Scientologist to stop sending stuff, atleast 3 magazines a week. I don't hate anybody but these guys are driving me crazy, no matter how many times I tell them I'm not interested. Isn't Travolta in there, or is it Tom Cruise? Anyway, I respect all religions, so sorry if I offended anyone, not my intent. But, if you're a scientologist and can somehow get me off the marketing list, please PM me...................Pllleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssee.

After you test this stuff they send you do you get to keep it free or do you pay for it or do you have to return it?

I agree.

had a buddy sign me up as a present...I'm still waiting for the cookbook they promised me...and 4 months after I became a member they were bugging me to renew...
THEN they started in on the "become a lifetime member" it's a privilege reserved for a very few...ya the few that don't wanna renew as regulars...

My wife bought me a life membership years ago, once they started sending me the frivolous books/videos, etc..I sent them an email and they stopped immediately.....

As far as the mag, I enjoy it, as there is a lot of stories about game that I do (or could hunt)....

I used to subscribe to Petersen's Hunting, but they had one issue that had over half the magazine was about hunting in Africa....Sorry, but I will probably never hunt Africa and know nothing about the game there, so it does not interest me....After that I let the sub expire....
