NAHC is American. We are Canadian. Regardless of the common border, free trade agreements - we are still "International" customers.
As such............
You will NEVER be entered into a Hunting / Bow / Gun giveaway or sweepstakes. You know, all the neat stuff. That require's licensing issues, adherance to CANADA's gun laws (which are $hit), and the lawyers who choose to challenge the validity of any particular draw. The Magazine will inform you (in all the fine print) "open to residents of the contigious 50 states".
As an "International" subscriber, you'll get a token keychain, free magazine, or some other crap (did someone mention that patch). YOU WILL NEVER SEE A BIG TICKET ITEM.
So for all CGN thinking of subscribing...give your friend the money, and have him kick you in the ball$. The only Canadian content is your address label they affixed to the Magazine to get it to you.

I was a member for a few years a while back. Never got anything except decals, stickers and other garbage. The final thing for me was that they wanted me to sign up other hunters for points so I would get on their "preferred list" and get even more "free stuff". What a joke. Maybe they don't ask that of their members anymore, I stopped being a member about 8 years ago.
If you don't expect anything from them except the mag, then I guess you could waste your money on worse things. If you are thinking of the giveaways, save your money and buy what you want.
I agree with BIGRED. I am just signing up for Duck Unlimited this week. Support some local initiatives!

Let me see,what did i recieve for "free"?,mmmmm stickers x4,keychain x2,jacket zipper tab,Lifetime member patch(I was never a life mbr),small envelope of deer feed,cheap plastic card/license/tag holder,very cheap 'made in China' multitool,cook book,bow string loop(to test),coins and thats about it!
When I 1st joined I was suckered into buying a "Realtree" baseball cap and a Whitetail deer encyclopedia.
I did'nt mind the magazine though,that part I enjoyed and looked forward to in the mail.Never again though,I'll stick to "Bow Hunting World" and 'Blackpowder Hunting'.
