just waiting on one more project which i will be show casing right after Christmas. It will allow flip up irons to be mounted on the rear of the receiver and on the upper hand guard, as well as mounting a new NEA skelleton stock............. folder or fixed.............

I just ordered a gen 4 NEA rail from Czech point, i know ill love it but it doesn't have the captive pin. When the captive pin comes out will i be able to get one? or is milling going to need to be done?
Also what optic to you recommend me, I'm interested in about 200yards and under. to bad cant get the aimpoint 3x mag and aimpoint comp to work on it...

You have to yank the pin pretty hard to take it out of the hand guard. If you have any issues just PM me and i will fix what ever it is you have a problem with............... related to the hand guard. I cant do anything about nagging wives, chubby girl friends or children that insist on low riding thier pants.
I will be able to let you know any day now. I have one on the way.
NEA products are what was the tipper for me to go ahead and decide on getting a vz58 and i want one of those folding stock adapters to...
and i want one of those folding stock adapters to...It was great to see the NEA rail on the Czechpoint-USA site.

Just got one of the NEA rails after christmas, after mounting the unit I excitedly tried to put on my LaRue QD Aimpoint mount on and was very disappointed to find that it didn't fit. I'm wondering if this is because the LaRue may be a MilSpec 1913 Picatinny and the NEA rail is Weaver. Compatibility issue?? Please advise.

The rail is mil spec, the gen 3 was not and would not hold the aim point red dots. We reworked the gen 4 specifically because of this.
Turns out MikiP has a gen 3.

Hi Charles, any update on the 552 on the NEA upper? I've been told that it won't co witness with the front sight and it was reported in this thread that the 512 doesn't fit the upper.

What we are going to do is lower the upper surface on each side of the rail so there is more room to move the 512 around. I pulled 10pcs from inventory today to have the change done on. they will be ready by Friday. If you have a 512 and would like one of these rails please let your dealer know and i will send them one.

It will co witness if you use this adpater with it -
and the new pict railed barrel clamp that is coming out in feb with a set up flip up irons. The new barrel clamp will also be the forward mounting point for the Neit designs tri rail.
The picture with the eotech above is unmodified and it what the dealers are stocking right now.
That looks nice. Any way we can get that shot of the whole rifle with eotech?

Thanks Charles ...if I get this right, I need to let my dealer know to contact you for the uppers that have the sides lowered so I can use my 552 on it (I have a 552 not a 512 - does that make any difference?) and then wait for the new barrel clamp so I can have my front sight co witness with the 552.
Will the modified upper have the captive detent ball of the 4th generation uppers? (I've had a standing order at my dealer for a set of uppers and lowers for a while now but have been waiting till it gets all sorted out). I'm assuming that the lower hand guard will be fine as is with the modified upper - correct?

The lower is the final product, but we are going to bring out side rails for it.
We are also working on a Tri rail that when mated with the upper forms a quad rail that evelopes the gas block
