Norther Ontario M14 Support Group Anyone

Well there seams to be a few M14 support groups starting up. (Wet Coast-45ACPACKING, and Ottawa- maple_leaf_eh) So I'm checking to see if there would be any interest in starting one up for Northern Ontario (Sudbury area to be more precise). I'm not a gunsmith, and I'm new to the M14 fun but hopefully someone with experience or a student of Hungry is in the area and can add some expertise to the proposed gathering. So if anyone is interested just chime in and lets see if we can get the ball rolling on this.

Yeah, at the expense of hijacking the N Ontario Clinic thread.... I am driving through Sudbury, Soo, Wawa , Thunder Bay, Dryden, Kenora this August. Got a month to swing through the Western provinces and reconnect with some buddies in AB and BC.

If a short stop in Sudbury this August is a possibility it will probably bring in a few more recruits.
 
we should plan an epic gathering of m14 support groups from across the country at a 600 yard range, somewhere in the middle of the country..... saskatchewan maybe? with camping... make it a weekend...... plan it really well... would be a hoot to do in a year or so eh?

I will stop in Wawa, likely bunk at Chas' place on my way west. There, does that make you feel better? Might have to take a day of your work. Not sure if I can be there for a weekend stay, but overnight during the middle of the week then I can stay for another night before my push to Thunder Bay and further west.

We are still gonna have fun.

Already have club buy in for a clinic, including bbq and an action shoot if we do it here for a weekend. Only have a 200 yard range, but may be able to get a pit for longer shooting. Good clubhouse for instruction and work, looking for a service truck now!!
 
Stop by when you roll thru Winnipeg. I would like to get a chance to meet the legendary Hungry as I haven't been able to find time to make it to one of your clinics. I'm sure we could scare up a few M14 nuts here in Manitoba and head out to the Selkirk range :)
 
YES, will be stopping overnight especially in Thunder Bay. And yes, I will be in Winnipeg for the MB CGNutz!

The tough part is that I will likely be swinging through in the middle of the week and you might just have to trade yer shift or book the time off. Weekends ? That's too unpredictable. I'm basically like a 'rock star' style tour, each day in a different town, sleeping on your basement floor and driving a few more hours down the highway.
