Norther Ontario M14 Support Group Anyone

we should plan an epic gathering of m14 support groups from across the country at a 600 yard range, somewhere in the middle of the country..... saskatchewan maybe? with camping... make it a weekend...... plan it really well... would be a hoot to do in a year or so eh?

I call travel buddy!!! I'm with ya, sounds like a blast...

Hey guys just came across this thread, as i am going to aquire a couple m14s soon. So i was wondering what the deal with an Ontario M14 seminar is? i am in Toronto, but would be willing to travel to Sudbury, i have family there, in order to attend and learn about the m14s, thanks guys

Hey Nutters,

Manitoulin boy myself, so i am definatly up for a sudbury chapter of dissorganized misfits (rubbing hands together with a devilish grin). i also have a buddy down the road with a norc who would be interested as well. Heck...maybe we can scare the snot out of all the hunters on Manitoulin this fall with our M14's just a blazing..lmao

just send me a Pm whoever is in charge.......

cheers & beers

I can consider another Sudbury stop this Sep, that will help out the N. Ont M14 lovers. Hey TRGod36, you up for another one in Sep 2009 ? I'm committing myself right now since we don't have any OSA scheduled Service Rifle matches in Connaught (Well.. NSCC and CFSAC are happening) that month. I can work well with the Sudbury crew and TRGOD36. ;)

Cheers
Barney

hey hungry,

ever put any thought into a 2 day workshop?

cheers & beers

~harry~

Hungry here: YES, but we need a BFV (big vise) and also a welder and chop saw and then staying up in Sudbury bugging Todd and his kind family would be worth the trip! TRGOD36 can only take so many of my stale jokes. :nest:

I will check with the club and see what days are available in September. Going to need to expand it a bit and try and find someone who can wield and maybe find a BFV so we can re barrel and/or re index some barrels. (Mine is over index a degree and it's bugging the hell out of me.

I will start looking around for the BFV, chop saw and welder but hopefully someone who actual knows how to use them will be kind enough to bring them.
Hungry my kids are still talking about your socks.:D

so TRGOD36,

how are we looking for our little group if misfits? are there enough interested?

cheers & beers

I will check with my gun club for the availability in September. I'm confident there will be enough interested M14ers to run another clinic.
Going to try for the extras this time with some barrel indexing, gas system unitizing, and maybe some Parkerizing. Will need some help to pull this one off, mainly tracking down a big vice and the correct welding machine.

If Sudbury was "Northern Ontario" I would say sure:p

Thunder Bay vote here. At least its in the north...of Ontario.

I did the Haliburton tour in summer 07, but would do TBay, Wawa or SSM. Seriously, put it in SSM so we can all split the distance.

Cheers,
