Thanks for posting the video, I just watched it this morning and posted it in the other thread.

The boys got a few things wrong and unfortunately never really shot some controlled groups on paper to demo just how accurate or inaccurate the "select barrel" is.
Refereed to the stock as walnut a few times instead of walnut stained.

Their gun seemed to run well which is better then some of the reviews here on CGN talking about light strikes and issues with the pic rail being tilted for some reason and mostly below average accuracy.

For some reason I seem to recall people saying the threads were not 1/2x28?

It sure is a nice looking package and great price, if they can improve the quality control and accuracy down the road it will be an even better value!

Edit to add, I just noticed that North Sylva in this update promo thread also lists the wood as Walnut in the title of the thread!
I have some nice stocks made out of Turkish walnut but I've never even heard of Chinese walnut for some reason.

China is a huge country and no doubt a walnut tree or something similar could grow in some regions but judging by most of the wood stocked rifles coming out of china they prefer other woods and then use stain to make it "walnut like"

I guess it's hard to blame Vern and the other guy for calling it Walnut when the distributor they are working for describes it as walnut while their customers describe them as something else.

Originally North Sylva said it was made by Girsan , but once people had them in hand and read the " made in China" markings on the barrel that mystery was solved.

It's hard to understand how that mix up happened but we live in confusing times.

North Sylva still lists the barrel as threaded 1/2X28 for some reason, but Hunter Henderson confirmed here on CGN that the unit he got a month ago was threaded the same as the Scorpio's were 1/2X20.

There are some strange specs and misinfo about these guns that has been around since day one and continues to linger.... ?

Fit, finish and feel is good overall. As noted, Fed perfect from all mags. I cut a coil off the mag release spring right out of the box as it was ridiculously strong and it's now just a little stiff and should settle.Trigger is light and breaks good, and while I found a pretty decent amount of pre travel grit when trying it at home, it wasn't as much felt during the day. Mostly shot at 25y and only used Tac22. I mounted the scope too close to me and struggled as I didn't have the torx key necessary to adjust but it made 1moa at 25y and 1.5-2moa at 50y.

The threads are not 1/2x28 on mine either, so they really should fix their advertising.

My only problem was that I disassembled the bolt to debur/smooth it out and must have mounted the spring C-clip extractor retainer wrong cause it couldn't extract a single round properly.

1 inch at 25 yards and 1.5 to 2 inches at 50 yards so projecting out to 100 maybe 3--4 inches or close to "minute of clay" out to 100 yards.

That's too bad about the bolt, maybe post some pictures and the brain trust here can point you in the right direction!

Did the gun come with a parts diagram for the bolt?

I agree with you that North Sylva should correct the miss-information about the thread pitch and the species of wood.
