I received mine a couple days ago.13 “ wood nice looking rifle. Cleaned the bore, checked action screws , rail screws. Put an bushnell elite 3200 on it. Took it to the range for a function test with intention to do an ammo test. The action functioned fine , bit hard on opening and closing the bolt, can probably be made a easier to open close with a little filing and polishing. The trigger pull is ok , would like it a little lighter, feels like a two stage if squeezed slowly, about an 1/8 to 3/16 of slack which is gritty feeling then it brakes fairly crisp. Haven’t tested the trigger pull weight yet, im disassembling it to polish the sear and hopefully smoothen it out. I was trying to figure out if I could put a set screw into adjust the sear engagement but not sure it’s possible with the way it’s designed. The magazines in my opinion are crap, would like to try an oem rugger mag. One of mine doesn’t feed all the rounds and they both feel like you’re pushing the round over gravel when cycling the bolt. I didn’t fire many rounds to to test ammo or accuracy. Didn’t want to waste them until I’ll I get the these issues fixed. IMO the build quality is good , action function and inletting ,stock ect. Minus the crappy trigger, and mags. I would pick the Scorpio which is cheaper and use the extra cash for ammo, action is smother, trigger is noticeably better in feel and pull weight, magazines feed everything I’ve tried without issue. The only thing I like better about the cb22 is the stock so far. My 2 cents take for what it’s worth.

I like to tinker so it’s fun for me. Others might not think so. I forgot to mention i disassembled the bolt firing pin was running a little on the groove in the bolt I polished that. And the firing pin spring was bent in the middle about 20 degrees and was rubbing hard. One coil was stretched where it was bent. I straightened it the best I could and definitely could notice faster and harder strike.

Keep us posted as you get her straightened out. Will be interested in the accuracy test.

With these cheaper 22 bolt actions, I always have to check myself and ask - is this a better option than a Cooey 600 for $250?

Kind of the same way I came about it. Curiosity got the better of me so thought I’d get a couple and see how they performed. I now have the 13”Scorpio , 13”bc 22 , and different from these 2 Derya tm22 16”. Scorpio is a decent rifle made well, ok accuracy 2moa. A good plinker.
The derya is the first semi auto 22 I’ve owned in 30 years. It needed some work out of the box mostly poor assembly procedures and some clearance issues in the action, caused the trigger not to fully reset after firing, a little polishing and some good lube fixed that. But it shoots consistently , 1moa 10 round groups at 50 yds which surprised me. Test was with a few mid grade ammo’s. I tried some eley match in it at 100yds 10 shot group was 1/5/8.
Having said that I have three old Winchester 69a and I wouldn’t trade any of them for these newer cheap rifles. I have 2 czs a 452 American I bought new about 20 years ago. And new cz 457 mtr. Both of these are significantly better.
I’ll fix the issues on the cb22 as best I can and see what it does , but most likely all three will be for sale once I’ve had my fun tinkering with them.

I have a TM22 that doesn’t seem to want to cycle consistently either. What did you do to clear up your issues?

Disassemble the breech bolt and clean, check for any roll pins that are not seated and rubbing on the the receiver, disassemble trigger assembly check to see if anything is rubbing or dragging. I found the connector arm was rubbing on the receiver causing drag and not letting the trigger to reset as well a lot of gtit clean really well. I used electronics aerosol cleaner to flush it out less harsh than brake clean. I polished and deburrred the connector arm and applied a very light coating of moly grease. Mine would cycle a round but not fully reset the trigger I could push it fwd and it would then fire. Hope this helps
