Norwegian K98 Value?

Hey all. Looking into doing a part trade for a Norwegian K98 in 30.06. Seems to be in great shape with all matching numbers. Just wondering what an approximate value would be so I know I'm getting a fair deal for sure. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

P&S recently sold them for $695 each. None are available retail any longer and no more ever will be as the ones still in Norway were recently smelted.

I suspect present value is in the $700-900 range for a decent matching example.
 
They are wonderfully accurate, I'll say that much.

Friend had one, spent 4 years shooting 1-inch groups at 300 yards with it. Most accurate Mauser I have ever encountered.

ouch, why were they smelted rather than sold?? guess we can ask our gov the same thing about the 9m handguns right now
 
$1100 would be very high.

I bough mine for PS for $650.
I saw a mm at a gun show for $450 and an all matching at a gun store in Manitoba two years ago for $500. I would have bought it, but at the time I didn't know what it was and by the time I did my research it was gone.

Probably with a bayo and original sling $750 wouldn't be unreasonable.
