Hey guys!

I just bought a three-pack of sporterized Norwegian Krags and need some help. The first one is a cut down M94 long rifle, a common find around here and nothing special. The second one is an M1912 Carbine with cut down wood but an unmolested barrel - this is the one I wanted as I am restoring another one.

The third one has turned out to be a needle in a haystack! At first it looked like another cut down rifle but in fact started life as a carbine. It has a 20.5" barrel and a sling swivel on the buttstock about 4" from the buttplate. I checked the date (1908) and serial numbers that are found on the right side of the receiver just ahead of the bolt handle. According to the Kongsberg Våpenhistoriske Forening website (https://www.kvf.no/index.php) what I have is in fact an M1907 Field Artillery Carbine - one of only 750 made. Except for the buttplate, all the other serial numbers match and the bluing is suprisingly good so now I have yet another restoration project ahead of me!

I have a WTB ad in the EE looking for some of the metal parts. I know a stock and handguards are going to be impossible to find. However, if I can track down some of the barrel bands and spring clips then I should be able to have a stock make for it. Please have a look at my ad and let me know if you have any of the parts that would help me restore this carbine. It's too rare to relegate to truck gun duty! TIA
