Anybody try this combo?

Got a recipe?

*oops forgot to say they are the custom comp BTHP not the hunting bullets*

Picked up a box at WSS to play with today and not a lot of info online about them.

Not in 300 WM, but I've tried them in my 308 Win and they shot terribly in all of my normal .308 grove size barrels. They shot ok in my 0.3075 tight palma barrel... but still not as good as the SMK.

I have not tried that bullet but use the 190 grain Hornady BTSP with 73 grains of Re22, and with the 190 grain Sierra MK Moly used 70.4 grains of Re22.
both are very accurate tested to 300 yards and shoot to the same point.

Sierra Accuracy Load: RE-22/ 70.4grs. 2900fps/ 3548ft. lbs.

Cool...

I just grabbed a fresh pound of R-22 and a couple hundred CCI LRM primers, still waiting on dies but should have some rolled up for next weekend... Are you seating off the lands with that load or to a mag? Nice to know where I can find some wiggle room.

Thanks for the info!

The accuracy load can be seated closer to the lands due to bullet consistency and a lower powder charge, closer to 10 thou. The hunting loads with Hornady bullets are probably 20 thou off the lands.
