Hey guys

Just wondering if anyone has actually tried these Tips yet.

I currently shoot 230 Gr berger Hybrids at 3100 FPS with ym 300 RUM just wondering if anyone has actually tried the new Nosler tips.

Tried the 7mm 150,s in several short mag rifles and found nothing to get excited about and at close to a buck a slug they can keep the damn things.
 
I tried the 150 7mm LR Accubonds in a couple STWs. The first was a Cooper and the results would have to improve a bit to be pathetic. The combination of that ogive and throat would have Weatherbyesque style free-bore if the mag was to be used, and the bullets would have practically fallen out of the case if it were to be used as a single shot.

In the last couple of days I tried the same bullets in an STW that got chambered with my VLD reamer and it showed immediate promise right off the bat. The long Sako mag will keep it a repeater at the land-length. I may or may not pursue that angle, I've slowly leaned that I'm better off not shooting the barrels just to find out what else it will shoot.


I'll wager that your success will hinge on your throat configuration. My RUM is short throated, but most have a lot of jump built into the system.
 
Well I loaded up the 190s 10 308win and 10 300winmag, was just a bad day at the range chrony wasn't working, and other pers didn't have patience to allow me to try and work it out so all I have is a couple groups. My 210s are sitting in cabelas right now just have to pick them up then I will sit down and have a good ol'range day with all of them to hopefully give a better review.

This was alot of powder behind it, Nosler load data says 99% case capacity. I had already worked up a load using their 190 Custom Competition and with talking to Nosler over the phone they said to load the LRAB much the same. No pressure signs at all, just would like to see what velocities I can get. Of course I would not recommend jumping straight to this kind of load for anyone else as I did, I know my rifle and its capabilities as I am sure people are going to hound me for this!

This rifle tends to love the heavies, so can't wait to try the 210s. It shoots 200g Accubonds at sub 1/2 MOA at near 2850fps and also does 220SMKs at 2775fps and is easy 3/4 MOA. Though haven't worked up a full load for this rifle yet because I keep bouncing around with bullet selection. Again hoping to settle on the 210LRAB because I think it can show some amazing potential and I don't mind spending the extra for a round that can both hunt and target shoot with. Also this rifle has loved any Nosler projectile I seem to put down it.

I got drawn to the LRAB because of there hunting and high claimed BC values. Once I get a load figured out I will for sure give them a shot at deer this season and also give a review on its performance there.

As for Nosler itself, I hate emailing them, they never get back to you. If they do its weeks later and a one line response. On the phone though, I found them to be great. Guess they hate computers like I do.

After reading about a 210 at 500 yards not exiting a dog sized deer I lost interest in them. The 215 and 230 bergers on the other hand have been used on pronghorn to elk at close to far distances and they sure do work.
 
Well I finally loaded up some of the new rounds. I found 93.4 Gr of retumbo to work best with my rifle. Here is a 3 shot group at 200M caliber is 300 RUM.
