I have a savage 16fss and have loaded accubonds and partitions , The accubonds with 61gr of IMR4350 will group 3shots smaller than a nickle at 100Yards ,the Partitions with 63gr IMR4350 will group 3 shots at a loonie size at 100y.

Do I stick with the accubonds because they are so darn accurate or do I use the partitions because of a little better bullet?
How are the accubonds holding up? fast kills? meat damage?
Accubond pros & Cons?
Partition Pros & Cons?

The mulie buck I shot with a 180gr Accubond at around 100yds fell down. There was a hole on each side.

Meat damage was identical to what I've experienced with the Partition, which is to say not enough to think about.

'Nuff said.

The accubonds have worked very well for me in the past 3 years. They're cheap, they shoot very well and penetrate like best.
Ive never shot partitions but am very happy with the performance of the Accubonds.

Cheers!!

Why not? I've used Grand Slams with awesome results on Mulies. There is little difference in design between the 2 bullets, especially with the new GS, all things considered.

I can't think of a better deer bulet than the AB. Lets you take any resonable shot and holds togehter...

Seems to be similar to NP performance, except they seem to retain more weight and open up a ittl emore:p

Shot my Mulie at 240 yd with my .338 and it fell where it had stood. My buddy shot his with a partition in .300 and it ran, I got it as well.

I've killed three mulie does with 165 gr accubonds form my 308, no problems, actually lots of damage, in and out including one severe frontal quartering shots.

I shoot 225gr. Accubonds outta my .338. Extremely accurate as you've seen, but held together very well even when going through the front shoulder on a bull moose and breaking through the opposing shoulder. I have never taken anything with Partitions as I couldn't find a recipe that my gun liked. Judging by your recipe, is that a .270 WSM your'e shooting, tell me it is...I wouldn't mind trying the Accubonds in it, and mine's also a 16FSS.

I use 180gr AB in my 300WM. Great all-around all performance bullet. I have shot moose, elk, wt and mulies -all 1 shot kills -dropped in spot. I also use te Accubonds in my 270WSM's with the same results.

In 2004 with my 300M, I took my NT mulie - 44m quartering away -found the bullet in the hide of the RF shoulder-it weighed 150gr (83.3% retained) -no left lung or heart left. All other shots were complete pass thrus at various distances from 150 to 554metres -double lungs and other internal organ damage. Small entrance (loonie-toonie sized) wounds with huge exits. My opinion is Don't hit any shoulder or meat is wasted-so go for the double lung or when the animal steps forward opening up the boilermaker!

Here is a link from another board with a pic (GRAPHIC for you weak of stomach)-Pappershredder's bull elk from his 300 Ultra Mag with a 200gr Accubond. Pretty impressive if you ask me and I had the same results just opposite wounds.

I just - 2 1/2 hours ago - shot my second deer this fall using the 165 AB @ 3100 fps out of my 300 wsm.

The first deer was a whitetail @ 360 yards. I hit it high and the bullet removed 10" of spine. Today's was a textbook double-lung broadside on a 250 pound mulie at just over 300 yards. The entrance was about 1 1/2" in diameter and the exit nearly identical.

To tell the truth I find very little difference in the terminal performence of the 30 calibre Accubonds when compared to the 30 calibre Ballistic Tips which also have a thick jacket.

would you use Accubond on a moose? I sure would.

if it will kill a moose, it'll kill a deer. question answered. now go hunt!

EDITED: sorry, thought it said .338rum, idiot moment again

I drove a 140 gr AB out of my 270WSM end to end through a big muley last year. I smashed through the hip first then it travelled the length of the buck before stopping in the loose flesh in his throat.

Theres no buck on earth that is too tough for this bullet.

Accubonds

My .280 Remington shoots 140gr. Accubonds inside 3/4" at 100yds,and has knocked down 2 bucks stone dead this season!Go with the Accubonds.:)
