Nosler AccuBonds for Mulies?????

I haven't used the Accubonds, so here is a question about them...will they do the damage the Sirroccos do at close range, under 60yrds? The sirroccos I used in my 7mm RM would make a huge mess in a deer at close ranges, an exit hole you could stick a football in...not what I want at all from a bullet so I was going to switch to the partition.

I just shot a mule deer today with 160 grain Accubonds in my 7mm mag. I used 60 gr IMR 4350. The shot was from approx. 265 yrds. I hit it in the ribs/lungs and it blew the #### out of it. The bullet exited and hit the front leg.
I don't really know about those things. Accurate as hell. On a positive note that deer walked two steps and went down dead as a doornail.

I chimed in earlier abotu shooting three does with the 165 gr accubond from ,my 308, they worked fine, but yesterday I shot a nice 9 point whoitetail buck with a balistic tip of the same weight and the effects were much more dramatic. I use TSX's when I am hunting a mixed bag and tend to shoot my 300 win mag, but on a deer only hunt(either species) I generally shoot lighter calibres, 260 and now 308 and I will be shooting ballistic tips, deer are easy to kill and I don't like tracking.

I've taken a very large black bear and this year a fat blacktail spike buck with accubonds. The bear only made it 8 yards before expiring and the blacktail was a bang-flop. Bullet was recovered from the bear on the farside of the hide, perfect expansion 65% weight retention. The Accubond on the deer caused absolutely massive internal damage, and left a tiny exit, due probably to losing most of the mushroom after hitting bone.

They are my bullet of choice from now on, especially since they shoot the most accurately out of my 16fss.

I love the NABs. In my .300 Win Mag they shoot 3/4" at 200m and they have killed everything I've shot with them, from pronghorns to moose. They also have pretty good weight retention, about 75% on the few that I have recovered.

They just don't shoot that hot out of my .338 Lapua.
