Nosler Custom Brass

Has anyone had experience with this brass? Any good? Or does it crack/develope flaws easier than other brands of brass?

i use this brass for my 2506 and my 22-250 .excellent stuff .

I only use the Nosler brass in my 280AI, because it saves me from having to fireform.

Nosler sources their brass from different manafacturers,I believe that is why there is sometimes little consistency in characteristics(softness etc.)from one calibre to another.The very first box of Nosler .280AI brass I bought was headstamped Norma,not Nosler.Some of the new brass chamberings they are offering(.350 Rem Mag,8mmMag for example),must be made by Remington.I can't see any other brass manafacturer tooling up for these chamberings. I found it to be soft too, I prefer Lapua brass and it is cheaper...

I found the .300 Win, 300 Weatherby and .300 Ultra to be too soft. Since the Win Mag always seems to like being loaded right up there, I'd lose my primer pockets too fast. The Ultra mags got necked up to .338 Edge, and while my edge had to be loaded 150 fps slower than my friends' at least it shot well at the level. The 300 Roy was slower than my Wins until a CGN member felt sorry for me and sold me some Norma.

22/250 and .204 seem to hang right in there. Across the board, if Lapua or Norma is available I'll go that way. Plenty of applications don't need premium brass and boreing old Winchester gets the nod.

Some of the Nosler brass is Norma. I'm pretty sure the weatherby cartridges are all norma.

17 brass from the last 50 I bought cracked the circumfrence of the case about 3/4" from the web of the case.

IMHO QC has dropped completely off the table, 1xf FC range brass has better performance in comparrison.

i have used 280 and 7 mag. good stuff no issues. given the choice i would use lapua if avalable.
