Nosler photos

Here are a few photos of Nosler bullets. ( this is not a range report, just an after though after shooting) All shot at 100yards.


The first bullet:

- Nosler AccuBond, 30cal / 165grain (.308") spitzer @ 64grain of IMR-4350 powder out of a Tikka T3 lite, 300wsm.

The second bullet:

-Nosler E Tip, 30cal / 168grain (.308") Spitzer @ 61grains of IMR-4350 powder out of a Tikka T3 lite 300wsm.

Forgot to take an expansion photo

The third bullet:

-Nossler E Tip, 30cal / 168grain (.308") Spitzer @ 67grains of IMR-4350 powder out if a Stevens 200, 300 winmag.

E Tips look great what did the Accubond weigh it seems to have held together

AccuBond is 165grain. It held together well, I think it would be good at further distances. The E Tip was at 100yards also, I think they would be like an FMJ at further distances, but i'm new to loading Maybe more powder would give further expansion??

I don't have a digital scale, and mine goes up to 110grains

i tried to recover my accubonds from my 338. taped up 12 large phone books and then soaked the with the garden hose. At 100 yards my 225gr handloads went right through and couldn't find them behind. did recover in the last few pages of the 12th book my factory trophy bonded bear claws. looked similar to the first pics.

I recovered one Accubond, started off as a 200grn bullet fired from my 300WM the target was a mid sized whitetail at about 70m, penetrated a deer end to end the long way, found the bullet just under the skin, it went through bone muscle and other messy internal tissues. If I recall it retained over 180grns weight so +90% retention

How did the E-tip fly? how different was the point of impact from the accubond? Oh crap disregard question , different weights.
