Not Chinese

i JUST FONDLED IT AGAIN. iT HAS THE bayo and cleaning rod installed. The metal work is nicly blued.

It is missing a stock and magazine. There is hope that the original magazine is around here somewhere but the wooden stock is gone for sure.

Anyone got an early Chinese wood stock inletted for a blade bayo? Or mabe a Soviet stock that would fit?

This is an attempt to post a picture of the rifle.

I am still learning this computer concept. One of my two typing fingers can';t spell and Internet is a mystery. I am trying to post the special picure I stored. It was dummied down to make it faster to laod, but maybe I screwed up by accidently posting the thumbnail.
Unfortunatley, my life has been devoted to learning most things the hard way. This is why i don't fly anymore. Quit while I was stil alive...

you got a 1966 , the extra letter behind or in front of the serial numbers were added later, check closely to see if that is true.

your 1966 is of interest to me cos i own a 1965 and once own a 1967 and there was a difference in the two so i was wonder when the changes came, please check your bolt carrier , does it have a lightening cut behind the cocking handle or is it smooth? does it have a stamped or milled trigger group? and the main recoil spring tube, is it stamped or milled? also what letter, cyrillic , number or roman numerial on the bottom of the rear sight ladder?

i'll try to post some pics.

yours should have a threaded barrel.

The letter is at the end of the serial # , Everything looks milled as well

On the sight ladder there is an upside down U

All matching parts, except for magazine and bayonet. The plastic stock is cut for a Blade bayonet.

Barrel is threaded, and Has small import stamp

yes, yours is a early chinese sks , 1966 , the letter after the serial number was added by the importer PTK intl so your chinese sks came via USA (or was destine for US).

yours is identical to my 1965 with the exception of yours has a short lug threaded barrel while mine has a long lug. see pic below.

the year of my sks was the last year when they switch from blade to a spike bayo , mine was spike but i like the blade and also red fiberglass jungle stock.
