I think it's time somebody brought up the poor performance of Manitoba Conservation, particularly the Wildlife Branch and their inability to manage wildlife populations efficiently to meet hunter demand.
With wildlife populations (especially big game) at multi-year lows as of this writing, fall 2015, Game Managers have undertaken no significant policy changes to address the undersupply of game relative to hunter demand.
As a sportsman, landowner, and conservationist I know how difficult it can be to manage wildlife in terms of quantity and quality, which is why I am posing the question:
What policy changes do you the hunter and user of wildlife want to see that would help improve wildlife populations to levels that meet the high demand that hunters expect to see come hunting season? What needs to change? What policies seem to be working well?
