I see NEF offers a 243.rifle-scope package-but appearently only to US buyers-I e-mailed SIR and while they have the rifle and scope-it is not offered as the package

New England Firearms. Now owned by Marlin and sold through H&R. There isn't a separate NEF site that I can see. Add the W's. .hr1871.com/
Not selling scoped rifle packages could be a result of U.S. export laws. Scopes are covered by that.

Ok, so buy the gun, then buy the scope and some rings ... now you have a package. Throw in a sling and some ammo and you da man.

I think it's their''super light'' model.I also noted they have a 410-45 colt model in the Survivor stock-anyhave any experiance with shooting a 45 colt in terms of accuracy or range from a smooth bore?

Savage, Mossberg and Remington sell "Scoped" rifle packages and send them over the border. Not sure why NEF would not. Maybe just our importers here don't want to bring them in?

Its rifled not smooth bore.
Haven't had it out to the range yet but have done some shooting at rocks and considering the bead sight, its not too bad. Initially I thought it was shooting waaay high 'cause I had just been shooting 410 at beer cans at @ 30 feet then switched to 45 and could'nt figure why I was missing by a mile. Duh, I forgot the trajectory of a centre fire is a bit different than a 410.
When I moved my "target" out to @ 200 ft. it was pretty well dead on.
