I just mounted a NightForce NXS 2.5x10x24 on my Finnlight. looks awesome! Great optics and really fast.I cant wait to give it try. The only draw back is that it really isnt light anymore.The Opti's and the scope must add 2lbs but the overall balance is still quite nice.

kinda defeats the purpose eh :D 17 oz scope is what I found out on their site, and Optilocks have to be 8 oz or so?? :confused:

Agreed. I bought the finnlight mainly because I thought it looked better that the stainless synthetic. With the exception of the class III actions the Finnlight is not really that light of a rifle. In any event, I've had the rifle for a few years and it is by far my favorite and 9 lbs is still better than 10lbs:D
 
I had a Leupold 1.5x5 on it and loved it. got bored, found extra cash, poor again but no longer bored....for the moment anyway
 
Id be interested to compare your Nightforce 2.5-10x24 to a similar power scope with a 40mm objective, of comparable quality, at dusk.

How much for the NXS?

the 30mnm tube helps some, its better than the Leupold 1.5x5x20 I just took off and about the same as my Leupold VXIII 2.5x8x36. I dont have a 40mm compare to. $1450

the scope is really not that big. Its actualy smaller albeit heavier than the Conquest and about the same size as a Leupold 1.5x5. trust me it is still well balanced. I put the conquest back on the 7MM stainless syn.
